The intriguing 3,000-year-old vignette from the Djedkhonsuiefankh funerary papyrus found on exhibit in the Cairo Museum portrays an eerie scene: a disk-shaped device, shown as being extraordinarily brilliant, with a landing gear deployed on top of a Sphinx.
Could this possibly be an extraterrestrial UFO? Alien hunters claim this is the definitive evidence there is a strong link between Ancient Egypt and extraterrestrial beings. The thing seen on top of the Sphinx is unlike any other “boat” seen in ancient Egyptian mythology. In fact, it’s unlike anything ever seen in their imagery or symbolism.
There are comparable drawings of alleged flying machines at the temple of Seti I, but these have been highly controversial as being the work of palimpsest. The unusual item shown in the vignette from the Djedkhonsuiefankh funerary papyrus was portrayed by the ancients as a disk that produces incredibly bright light, and when you take a look at modern-day portrayals of UFOs, it basically looks precisely like people would characterize a UFO today.
This ancient papyrus (you can view it above) is included in a research titled: Cosmic Space and Archetypal Time: Depictions of the Sky-Goddess Nut in Three Royal Tombs of the New Kingdom and Her Relation to the Milky Way ― by Amanda-Alice Maravelia.
And if we take a closer look at the old document, it’s obvious that it is a disk-shaped item which has a radiating dome on top. It is represented as having ‘landed’ on the Sphinx, with three leg-like tripods visible projecting from the item. But what makes the Sphinx so special? And what if this actually is a UFO ― and not a plant or some type of bug?
Yes, maybe a plant, flower, or possibly some form of bug? Right? What if there is another explanation as to what the thing is? We meant just because it seems like a disk-shaped object that’s fallen on the Sphinx, doesn’t imply it is one.
The fact is that the origin of the Sphinx is uncertain and that doesn’t really help much when you see a papyrus like this one. The degree of erosion that we find on it shows it goes back to 10,000 BC. It’s an old structure whose mysteries have stayed concealed for thousands of years.
It is said that experts have unearthed pathways into hidden rooms beneath the Sphinx and some even venture out and declare that the Sphinx may hold the truth behind our own existence. It is justifiably referred to as one of the most intriguing structures on the surface of the planet.
When the huge monument was unearthed for the first time, it was covered up to its head by sand. For generations, most tourists and experts who visited the region assumed this was all that existed. However, French engineer Emile Baraize was certain that much more lies beneath the surface than most archaeologists were aware of, the reason why she commissioned an excavation to reveal the remainder of the Sphinx.
Finally, after 11 years of hard excavating, Baraize and his colleagues found a large corpse like a lion, returning the colossal monument to the world in its full magnificence. It is the biggest monolithic sculpture on Earth.
Curiously, in addition to the above-mentioned papyrus which “illustrates” the disk-shaped object, there is another ancient document viewed as the definitive evidence of alien contact in ancient Egypt called the Tulli Papyrus, the ancient document depicts an extraordinary scenario.
There are two translations made independently of the ancient Egyptian text: one made by Prince Boris de Rachewiltz and the other carried out by the anthropologist R. Cedric Leonard. The following is the one provided by Prince Boris de Rachewiltz:
“In the sixth hour of the third winter month of the year 22, the scribes of the House of Life discovered a strange Fiery Disk that came from heaven (though) without a head, with a wide mouth (which gave off) a foul odor. The length of its body was a rod (about 45 meters) and also its size, it had no voice … Their hearts became confused through it; and they fell upon their bellies. They went (?) to the king to report it. His majesty ordered that everything written on the papyrus rolls of the House of Life be examined. His Majesty was meditating on what had happened.
Then, when some days had passed, Lo! They became more numerous in the sky than ever. They illuminated the sky more than the sun to the limits of the four supports of the heaven. Powerful was the position of the Fiery Disks. The king’s army was still watching, and his Majesty was in their midst. It was after dinner time. Then the Fiery Disks rose further south. Fish and birds fell from the sky. A wonder never seen since the founding of this Earth! His majesty brought incense to appease the heart. What happened in the book of the House of Life will be remembered for all eternity.”
Could it be that the perplexing disk-shaped item on top of the Sphinx is one of those strange Fiery Disks mentioned in the Tulli Papyrus?
